‘One Health in Action’: highlights from the day on 8 April 2026

On 8 April 2026, SHAPE-Med@Lyon brought together researchers, healthcare professionals, and representatives from the public and socio-economic sectors at the ENS de Lyon, united by a common goal: to put the One Health approach into practice at a regional level. The day was marked by the wealth of projects presented and the diversity of the collaborations underway.

Held at the ENS in Lyon, the ‘One Health in Action’ event follows on from the One Health Summit and fully embodies the ambition of SHAPE-Med@Lyon:

To develop a transdisciplinary approach to global health, working closely with local stakeholders.

This event laid the foundations for a collective discussion on moving from discussion to action. Right from the start, a strong message emerged: the One Health approach cannot be implemented without a strong local presence and without cooperation between disciplines.

    Une application de géolocalisation visant à identifier des lieux inclusifs pour les personnes concernées par l’autisme et les troubles du neurodéveloppement.

The launch of the One Health serious game, co-developed with the WHO Academy, illustrates the emergence of new forms of collaborative learning.

Plenary session: ‘The One Health approach and early prevention as a way out of health crises’

The closing address by Serge Morand (Research Director at the CNRS, French Representative to the OHHLEP (FAO-OIE-WHO-UNEP), CNRS International Research Laboratory HealthDEEP, Bangkok, Thailand) emphasised the need for a preventive approach that involves taking action before crises arise, by taking into account the interactions between human, animal and environmental health.animale et environnementale.
